Free TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculator Online
This TI-84 Plus calculator online is a free, browser-based simulator built for students taking AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Algebra II, College Algebra and the SAT / ACT / PSAT. It mirrors the TI-84 Plus key layout (2nd, MODE, MathPrint, STAT, TABLE, STO→) so you can practice the same keystrokes you'll use on the physical calculator.
The TI-84 Plus is the most widely used graphing calculator in U.S. high schools and colleges. Whether you're working through homework, reviewing for a midterm or practicing for the SAT, this simulator gives you the scientific power of the TI-84 — 100% free, no download, no account.
Which TI-84 variants does this simulator cover?
The simulator follows the standard TI-84 Plus key layout shared by all of these models:
- TI-84 Plus — the original 2004 model, still widely used
- TI-84 Plus Silver Edition (SE) — extra RAM, Flash apps
- TI-84 Plus CE — color screen, rechargeable battery (the current US version)
- TI-84 Plus CE-T — exam-mode variant sold in Europe / UK / AU
- TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition — short-lived color model
Color graphing and TI-Basic side-loaded apps from the physical CE are not part of the browser simulator, but the scientific, statistics and table workflows are identical.
What can this online TI-84 calculator do?
- Scientific operations — powers, roots, absolute value, factorials, scientific notation
- Trigonometry — sin, cos, tan, sin⁻¹, cos⁻¹, tan⁻¹ in DEG / RAD / GRAD mode
- Logs & exponentials — ln, log, 10^x, e^x (second-function 10^ and e^ on the log and ln keys)
- Statistics — 1-Var and 2-Var stats: mean (x̄), σ, sample standard deviation (sx), Σx, Σx², min, max, median, Q1, Q3
- Table mode — type Y₁ = … and generate an x-y table just like TABLE on a real TI-84
- Memory STO→ / RCL — 7 named variables (x, y, z, t, a, b, c) for chained calculations
- Combinatorics — nPr and nCr accessible via the 2nd layer
- Order of operations — parentheses, implicit multiplication, and MathPrint rendering of fractions and exponents
TI-84 Plus vs TI-83 Plus: Should I care?
If you have a TI-83 Plus sitting at home, almost everything you do on this TI-84 online simulator translates directly. The TI-83 Plus shares the same keystroke menus and TI-Basic programming model. The TI-84 Plus adds a faster Z80 clock, more Flash memory, a built-in clock, USB port and — in newer OS versions — MathPrint natural display. Most TI-83 Plus programs run on a TI-84 Plus unchanged.
TI-84 Plus vs TI-30XS MultiView: which one do you need?
| Feature | TI-84 Plus | TI-30XS |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Graphing | Scientific |
| Graphing Y= functions | Yes | No |
| TI-Basic programming | Yes | No |
| Matrices (up to 10×10) | Yes | No |
| SAT / ACT / AP approved | Yes | Yes |
| GED approved | No | Yes |
| Best for | Pre-Calc, Calc, AP, IB | Algebra, Geometry, GED |
| Physical price | ~$100+ | ~$15-20 |
What tests allow the TI-84 Plus?
The physical TI-84 Plus is approved for the SAT, ACT, AP Calculus (AB/BC), AP Statistics, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, PSAT, IB Math, GRE Subject (Math), Praxis, and most U.S. state standardized tests. It is not allowed on the GED (which restricts you to the TI-30XS). Always check your specific exam's calculator policy before test day, and bring your physical TI-84 Plus — phones and online simulators are never allowed during the actual exam.
How to use this TI-84 online simulator

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free TI-84 Plus calculator online? ▼
Yes. SciCalc Online's free TI-84 Plus simulator covers the scientific, statistics and table workflows you need for AP Calc, Pre-Calc, Statistics and SAT/ACT prep — all in your browser. No install, no sign-up.
Is this the TI-84 Plus CE or the original TI-84 Plus? ▼
The key layout matches the standard TI-84 Plus family (Plus, Silver Edition, CE and CE-T). The color screen and side-loaded apps of the physical CE are not part of the browser simulator, but the scientific and statistics workflows are identical.
Can I use this TI-84 online for the SAT or ACT? ▼
Only physical College Board-approved calculators are allowed during the SAT, ACT, AP, PSAT, or IB. Use this simulator for practice and homework — then bring your physical TI-84 Plus to test day.
What is the difference between the TI-84 Plus and the TI-83 Plus? ▼
The TI-84 Plus and TI-83 Plus share the same TI-Basic model and almost identical menus. The TI-84 Plus adds a faster processor, more Flash memory, a built-in clock, USB port and (in newer OS) MathPrint natural display.
What does the TI-84 Plus do that a TI-30XS can't? ▼
The TI-84 Plus graphs Y= equations, runs TI-Basic programs, stores matrices and draws statistical plots — features the TI-30XS does not have. The TI-30XS is allowed on the GED; the TI-84 is not.
Does this TI-84 online calculator work on my phone? ▼
Yes. The simulator is fully responsive on iPhone, Android, iPad, Chromebook and tablets. Add to home screen on iOS or Android for one-tap access.
How do I do 1-Var Stats on the TI-84 online? ▼
Tap the STAT tab under the display, enter your data list, then press Stats to compute mean, σ, sx, sum, min, max and median. On a physical TI-84 Plus: STAT → Edit → enter data in L1 → STAT → CALC → 1-Var Stats.
How do I switch between Degree and Radian on the TI-84? ▼
Click MODE on the simulator to cycle DEG → RAD → GRAD. On the physical TI-84 Plus, press MODE, highlight your choice and press ENTER. SAT problems usually expect degrees; most AP Calc problems expect radians.
